SANJEEVINI FERMENTED ORGANIC SOLID MANURE
There are many types of Organic Manures viz., Vermicompost, natural compost, and fermented compost. Vermicompost is achieved by feeding waste to earthworms. These worms digest the waste and produce the compost. In natural or aerobic composting, aerobic bacteria do the job of reducing the waste into compost. Fermented compost is produced by an anaerobic process. Mostly produced in a biodigester/bioreactor, where the absence of oxygen helps anaerobic bacteria to breakdown the waste.
Out of the 3, it is generally considered that natural compost through the aerobic process will have lots of pests and low in nutrients. While vermicompost is popular and has more nutrients and trace minerals, it entirely depends on the type of waste that has been fed to the worms. The fermented organic manure is completely broken down by thermophilic bacteria. The higher temperatures in the reactor destroy the weed seeds and other plant pathogens. In larger bioreactors, the manure and its properties remain constant.
Fermented organic solid manure, which is the new classification given by Govt. of India for the manure produced through a bioreactor, has all the required macronutrients, micronutrients, trace minerals, and also substances like humic/fulvic acids. One needs to try it out to see the difference it makes in plant growth.
